The Story Behind The Bevy
It was hands down the strangest time to be alive when we opened our doors in October 2020. The world was uncertain, small businesses were closing left and right, and yet—something about the chaos made the timing feel right.
Andrea had a vision: to open a store that championed handmade goods and the people behind them. Not an art gallery, not a boutique with a narrow focus - but a space that celebrated all kinds of makers and the wildly creative things they bring into the world.

She didn’t have a name yet, but she had a location burned into her mind. “I knew exactly where I wanted to open my store,” Andrea says.
Andrea owns and runs The Local Bevy in Springfield, MO, with the steady support of her husband, Justin, who helps out behind the scenes.
Today, the shop is home to a vibrant community of over 50 local and regional makers creating everything from ceramics and jewelry to prints, soaps, woodwork, and more.
What started as a bold idea during an unpredictable time has grown into a space full of heart, hustle, and a whole lot of handmade magic.
